In 1921 she founded the American Birth Control League, which later became Planned Parenthood. Two items: 1951 TLS mentioning the “possibility of a Conference in India next year” and that “the population question [in the Orient] … must be solved by the people themselves which they are quite capable of doing”; and a vintage glossy 4 x 5 photo, signed on the front in blue ink “Margaret Sanger,” and on the reverse, “Margaret Sanger, April 1951.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. In fine condition, with a few dings to photo and indistinct contrast to signature on image, and tiny spot touching writing on reverse. R&R COA.
