President Polk directs the Secretary of State “to affix the Seal of the United States to a “remission granted to George Turner, Master of the British ship Kestrel of Liverpool.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Polk. Double matted and framed with a steel engraved portrait of Polk, to an overall size of 20 x 15. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered faint toning.
