“I will be at the auditorium for Eisenhower’s address that evening.”

TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.5, White House letterhead, June 3, 1947. Letter to David Morgan of Kansas. In part, “I expect to be in Kansas City June sixth and seventh. I should arrive there about 11 o’clock on the sixth…I will be at the auditorium for Eisenhower’s address that evening. I’ll probably be at the Hotel most of the morning Saturday…I’ll be glad to see you if you come to Kansas City.” Gilt-matted and framed with a portrait of Truman, to an overall size of 19.75 x 15.5.
