Folding souvenir map of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games in Squaw Valley, California, 21.75 x 18 opened (5.5 x 9 folded), signed on the cover panel in ballpoint, “John Kennedy.” Accompanied by a handwritten letter of provenance from the previous owner, who explains that he received it at the Olympics as a 12-year-old, after his father introduced him to Kennedy. The Winter Olympics were held February 18–28; JFK had announced his candidacy on January 2. In very good condition, with wrinkling and light soiling, light bends, and a few partial separations along folds (not affecting signature, which is somewhat obscured against background). R&R COA.
