American actor (1929–1968) best known for his juvenile appearances in the popular “Our Gang” film series and for his role as the teenaged Al Jolson in The Al Jolson Story. His later years were marked by divorce, alcoholism, and drug abuse, and though the cause of his death at the age of 38 was ruled “inconclusive,” sleeping pills and a note found near his body suggest a suicide. Vintage matte-finish 7 x 5 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen in his printed childhood hand, “To Dulcie, Scotty.” Light scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
