Manuscript DS, in French, signed “Le Cte. de Rochambeau,” Rochambeau also adding an eight-word endorsement, one page, 9.75 x 7.25, June 15, 1772. A certificate granting a military pension to Jean Chevalier, “known as Chevalier Fourrier, from the Boisrenand Regiment.” The red wax seal remains mostly intact at upper left. Accompanied by a full translation. Intersecting folds (vertical fold touching notation and signature) and scattered light soiling and spotting, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
