Famed American journalist (1908–1965) best known for his wartime broadcasts from London and his widely respected CBS television news shows See It Now and Person to Person. His role in exposing the hypocrisy of Red-baiting Senator Joseph McCarthy was dramatized in the acclaimed 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck. TLS signed “Ed,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, December 27, 1949. Murrow writes to Kenneth Holland at the American Embassy in Paris. In part: “I am looking forward to your taking over at the Institute.
