Regarding a trespassing blacksmith

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1733–1798). ADS, signed “Geo: Read,” one page, 8.25 x 2.5, April 9, 1783. A legal “issue copia” requiring Elisha Dickinson, “late of Newcastle, black-smith to answer William Brice of a plea of Trespass.” Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 22.75 x 13.75. In very good condition, with vertical fold (small separations), small hole to blank portion, a touch of toning, and a few chips to blank margins. The signature is bold and dark.
