A military promotion for Seth Hinckley as “Captain of a Company in the Third Regiment First Brigade and Seventh.” The embossed paper seal remains intact at upper left. Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 29.5 x 19. Soiling, staining, wrinkling, and intersecting folds (separations and small holes), otherwise very good condition. The signature is clear, dark, and flawless.
