Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1730–1779). ADS, signed “G: Ross” at the conclusion and “George Ross” in the text, one page, 8 x 11, July 1756. A legal document wherein Ross, acting as attorney, files a suit on behalf of his client, James Johnson, for unpaid claims totaling £45.11.2 “lawfull money of Pennsylvania.” Ross has also added the traditional legal “placeholder” names “John Doe” and “Richard Roe.” Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 19 x 17.25.
