Description

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Ink signature, “A. Burr,” on an off-white 1 x .5 slip affixed to a slightly larger slip. Matted with an image and engraved plaque to an overall size of 7.75 x 11.25. Light soiling, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
