Description

DS, one page, 10 x 15, July 2, 1979. An engraved certificate, issued by the State of Kentucky and signed by Governor Julian M. Carroll, commissioning player Quincy Trouppe as a “Kentucky Colonel,” signed in ink by 10: Leon Day, Monte Irvin, Gene Benson, Jimmy Doran, Ray Dandridge, Jake Stevens, Clint Thomas, Ted Page, Judy Johnson, and Don Mays. The embossed foil-and-ribbon seal remains intact at lower left. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Quincy Trouppe, Jr. Light soiling and toning (mainly at edges and lightly touching a few signatures) and two horizontal folds, otherwise fine condition.
