Description

BLOODHOUND BROTHERS? Superb oversized photo inscribed by DISNEY to one of his animators

Terrific vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 photo of a grinning Disney posing with a bloodhound, signed and inscribed in early fiber-tipped pen, “To Fred—All best, Walt.” Accompanied by the embossed Walt Disney Productions business card of the original recipient, Disney animator Fred Kopietz (1909–1992), as well as a detailed unsigned photo of Kopietz at work at Disney Studios, on whose walls storyboards and model sheets for the 1967 film The Jungle Book are plainly visible. The “Walt” signature, at some 5″ in length, is certainly one of the largest we have ever encountered. The very subtlest hint of rippling to bottom edge and slight bleeding of ink, otherwise very fine, immaculate condition. A stellar example! PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.
