Born Archibald Alexander Leach in Bristol, England, in 1904, the dashing young stage actor was rechristened Cary Grant by Paramount Studios for his big-screen debut in 1932. When the Paramount contract expired, he made the then-unusual decision to freelance. Because his films were so successful at the box office, he was able to work at any studio he chose for most of his career. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Ronnie S, Cary Grant.” In very good condition, with tack holes to each corner tip, a few edge dings, and light overall surface marks and impressions.
