Making a payment to William Penn’s grandson

Pennsylvania-born signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution (1734–1806). Partially printed DS, signed “Robt. Morris,” one page, 9.25 x 4, June 26, 1786. A bill of exchange made out to John Penn, Esq. (grandson of William Penn) in the amount of £1000; Penn has endorsed on the reverse. Tiny ink erosion hole to central part of document and light vertical fold touching first name of signature, otherwise fine, bright condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
