The dolls based on Gruelle’s characters have sold in the millions since their introduction in the late 1910s. Signed book: Raggedy Andy Stories. Joliet: P. F. Volland Company, 1920. Signed in ink on the half-title page, which bears a color illustration of the title character, “Johnny Gruelle.” In good condition, with soiling and wear to covers, scattered soiling and wear to interior, and several pages (including signed page slightly detached.
