Huntington,” one page both sides, 7 x 5.5, October 14, 1784. A bill for expensed incurred by “the Second Company of Governor’s Guard, commanded by Daniel Bishop Esq., while guarding the Honble. Gen. Assembly of the State, at New Haven,” specifying “40 Men their Victuals & Drink @ 6/, £12.0.0.” Huntington has penned his endorsement signature on the reverse. Accompanied by a handsome nineteenth-century portrait engraving. In very good condition, with scattered mild soiling, partial separations and small holes at folds, and one fold touching last name, which is otherwise unaffected.
