Franking signature, “Free Franklin Pierce” on an off-white 8 x 5.25 envelope panel addressed in his hand to Hon. Weldon N. Edwards in Ridgeway, North Carolina. In very good condition, with scattered soiling and spotting, light wrinkling, and tear through “Free,” tape-repaired from the reverse. The signature itself measures some 3.5″ long.
