Description

Third-person ALS signed twice in the text “the Queen,” one page both sides, 4.25 x 6.75, gilt-embossed personal letterhead, July 7, 1851. Victoria writes from Buckingham Palace to the Duke of Wellington. In part: “The Queen thanks Field Marshal the Duke of Wellington for his letter & for all the trouble he has … taken” in conferring an honor on General Bowles. The adjacent leaf remains intact. In good to very good condition, with faint show-through, soiling, wrinkling, and separation at one fold touching several words. Neither signature is affected. R&R COA.
