Prolific Irish composer (1808–1870) best known for the opera The Bohemian Girl. ALS in French signed “M. W. Balfe,” one page, 5.25 x 7, no date. Balfe sends greetings and offers his assistance to an unnamed friend, signing again in the text as “Michel et Lina Balfe.” A hint of mild soiling and light mailing fold touching signature, otherwise fine condition.
