Seventeen words written in the hand of George Washington on a 9 x 1 off-white slip, clipped from a larger document. Washington writes, “five degrees west twelve thousand eight hundred poles…which lines were included…nine hundred & ninety five acres,” with a couple extra letters and partial words visible as well.
