American patriot (1736–1799) best remembered for his stirring, historic declaration, “Give me liberty or give me death.” Partially printed DS, signed “P. Henry,” one page on vellum, 14 x 13, August 11, 1786. A document granting to “Andrew Hynes, assignee of Andrew Woodrow administrator, with the Will annexed of Alexander Woodrow Deceas’d, who was assignee of John Seayers,” a parcel of land in Jefferson County, Virginia. The embossed paper seal remains intact at lower left. A few pinholes, light toning along folds, and a few small, light stains to blank margins, otherwise fine condition.
