British writer and artist (1865–1947) best known for her series of novels featuring the Scarlet Pimpernel. Original passport issued to Orczy by the Principality of Monaco, 3.5 x 5, issued September 11, 1941. The passport bears two photos of the writer, two fingerprints, and her signature, “E. Orczy Barstow.” In very good condition, with tape repairs at folds (one slightly touching signature), light soiling, and expected handling wear (one small marginal tear). R&R COA.
