Jackson state letter to King Ferdinand after the death of his Queen

LS as president, one black-bordered page, 7.5 x 12, May 24, 1836. Letter of state to King Ferdinand the Second. In part, “We have received the letter which your Majesty lately addressed to us, announcing the death of Your beloved Consort, Her Majesty the Queen, Maria Cristina. Your Majesty does justice to our feelings in anticipating our deep sympathy with your Majesty, at the severe dispensation of Providence which has removed one so dear.” Double cloth matted and framed with the original transmittal envelope and a commemorative medallion, to an overall size of 16.5 x 33.25. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature and some mild toning. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
