Mexican-born actress (1908–1944) best known for her comedy and “spitfire” roles. After marrying and divorcing screen Tarzan Johnny Weissmuller and an intense affair with Gary Cooper, she committed suicide (while pregnant) with an overdose of Seconal at the age of 36.
