Outstanding lot of three vintage candid full-length photos, each 4.5 x 6.5, each signed in fountain pen. The photos depict Larry, Moe and Curly in street clothes and definitely not in character, each standing outside the Riverside Theatre in San Francisco. Actually, each has a fairly serious expression on his face, with Moe and Curly bordering on glum. From the look of their clothing, photos probably date to early 1940s. Moe is wearing a pin-striped suit, overcoat and fedora and has signed “Moe 3 Stooges”; Curly is wearing a suit, as well, and is holding his overcoat over his right arm and his hat in his hand. He also holding a cigar in his left hand. He has signed “Curly 3 Stooges.” Larry is squinting in the sunlight and wearing a jacket, tie, slacks and a hat. He has signed “To Lorraine, Sincerely, Larry 3 Stooges.” The photos are attractively triple-matted and framed to an overall size of 23 x 13.5. In overall fine condition. The most desirable Stooges line-up, made even better with one-of-a-kind accompanying candids! PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.
