Signed photo of the man who made Howard Stern possible

Inventor (1873–1961) often referred to as “the father of radio” for his pioneering work in wireless telegraphy. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, darkly signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Sincere good wishes to the U.S.O. Club of Starke, Fla and Marius Risley, Lee de Forest.” Also signed on the reverse in fountain pen, “Lee de Forest, 8190 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles Cal.” In very good condition, with scattered creases, impressions and dings, quarter-inch separation to the left border with a tiny area of paper loss and light creasing in the borders and corners.
