Original costume design by Edith Head, ink, felt tip, and gouache on an off-white 9 x 11.5 sheet, captioned by Head “Bette Davis as Madame Sin” and bearing several of Head’s descriptive pencil notations, signed and inscribed in blue felt tip, “To Roy from Edith.” The drawing has also been signed and inscribed in red felt tip by Davis, “For Roy, from Bette.” Two original fabric swatches remain stapled to the upper left corner. The film in question, featuring Davis and Robert Wagner, was made for television in 1971 and earned a footnote in entertainment history as the most expensive made-for-television movie produced to that point. Over the course of her career, Head garnered an astounding thirty-five Academy Award nominations and eight wins. In fine condition. R&R COA.
