Pope, born Giacomo della Chiesa (1854–1922), who reigned from 1914 to 1922. Maintaining strict neutrality during WWI, he advanced several peace proposals and did much to aid war victims. DS, signed “Benedictus PP XV,” one page, 18 x 25.75, April 6, 1920. An apostolic blessing featuring a calligraphic inscription and a large photo of Benedict.
