DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 21 x 16, no date. Unissued four-language ship’s pass, signed near the right edge in black ink, “J. Tyler” and countersigned by Secretary of State, John C. Calhoun.” Two intersecting ink lines pass through document, perhaps indicating the pass was cancelled after Tyler left office. In very good condition, with moderate storage folds, toning to three of the four panels, and some small separations at edges of folds. White wafer seal is intact and Tyler’s pristine signature measures an impressive 4.5” long and is unaffected by any of the document’s flaws. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
