Pasteur,” one page, 4.75 x 7.75, May 27, 1884. Letter to an unidentified gentleman. In part, “Thank you for your kindness in my name and in the name of my son-in-law…our feelings of gratitude for the touching letter you were so kind to write [concerning] his book…he will then find the time, I am sure, to go and see you and present you with his wishes for a long, healthy life.” Matted with an image of Pasteur in his lab, to an overall size of 14 x 11.
