The “Messenger of Allah” attends to more temporal matters: “The office is annoying me with writings and callings”

Founder of the Nation of Islam (1897–1975) who was accused of ordering the assassination of Malcolm X. TLS, 8.5 x 11, January 30, 1958. Muhammad writes to Brother Roy X. Munford in Newark. In part: “You owe the Pittsburgh Courier office $294.00 from November 30, 1957 to January 4th of this year. How soon will you be able to take care of this account? The office is annoying me with writings and callings.” In fine condition overall, with a small, clean edge tear, a few mild wrinkles, and subtle toning to lower third of letter. R&R COA.
