American little person and entertainer (1838–1883), born Charles Sherwood Stratton, who became one of the most popular and legendary “attractions” managed by legendary showman P. T. Barnum. Ink signatures, “Charles S. Stratton known as Gen’l Tom Thumb,” and “Mrs. Charles S. Stratton, Middleboro, Mass,” on an off-white card, dated October 8, 1874; and ink signatures of Commander Nutt and Minnie Warren on a separate off-white card. Both are matted together with an image of a poster for an appearance, to an overall size of 22 x 10. In fine condition, with a few light ink marks affecting the tops of a few letters of the General’s signature. R&R COA.
