The leader of the Kuomintang (or Nationalist Party). He was President of the Republic of China from 1948 until his death in 1975. Matte-finish 3.75 x 5.75 head-and-shoulders photo, signed in Chinese in black ink. Accompanied by a 1967 TLS from the Office of the President acknowledging the photo, as well as the original mailing envelope. In fine condition, with some scattered light silvering to background.
