Russian physiologist best known for his investigation of conditioned reflex through the use of experiments involving salivating dogs. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1904. Original English-language offprint of Pavlov’s article titled “A Brief Outline of the Higher Nervous Activity” as printed in Psychologies of 1930 (Worcester: Clark University Press, 1930), softcover, 6 x 9.25, 14 pages, signed in ink on the printed wrapper, “Vom Verfasser [By the author].” Faint vertical fold (very slightly touching signature), and pencil notation to inside front cover, otherwise fine, clean condition.
