Free franked envelope, as president, 5.25 x 3, addressed in another hand to “W. S. Witmore, Esq., Newport, R. I.,” and franked in the upper right corner, “Franklin Pierce.” Envelope also bears a June 1856 postmark from Washington, D. C.
