With two signatures

British caricaturist and illustrator (1792–1878) best known for his works satirizing contemporary politics and his illustrations for the books of Charles Dickens. ALS, signed “Geo. Cruikshank,” one page, 4.25 x 7.25, November 18, 1848. Cruikshank writes to J. H. Parker, Esq. In part: “Lieut. Scott having been laid up with a cold could not promise to be with me on Monday—but expects to be well enough by Wednesday evening and will be here by half past 6 or 7 … I hope also to have the pleasure of your company.” An adjoining leaf bears the address panel written in Cruikshank’s hand, including his own signature. Mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
