LS in French, signed “Np,” one page, 7.25 x 9, June 23, 1811. Napoleon writes to an unnamed major general whom he addresses as “My cousin.” In part (translated): “300 virtuous and religious men are returning to Pau where they will arrive July 31…. The Italian artillery foot soliders must arrive in Toulouse. It is necessary to organize all that…. On this occasion … it is necessary that you send an officer general to Pau since this point came to be the place of passage for the Army of Aragon…. Correspond with Gen.
