Rare TLS, signed by Truman as Vice-President, one page, 8.5 x 11, dated March 27, 1945, Office of the Vice-President letterhead. Truman sends his thanks to a member of the St. Louis County Democratic Committee, writing in part, “I think a lot of Sam, and am glad to know your high respect of him”; and a White House card, 4 x 2.75, neatly signed in ink, “Franklin D. Roosevelt.” Both items are very nicely double matted and framed with an original 11 x 15 1944 Roosevelt/Truman campaign poster, to an overall size of 36 x 24. In very good condition, with overall toning, a bit heavier to edges, forward notation to bottom and another notation to letter. White House card rates fine, with some stray ink marks to top. Truman served as Vice President for only 89 days, making any vice-presidential material difficult to acquire. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
