John (1866–1936), the youngest of the famed Ringling brothers, was involved in a number of successful business enterprises. In 1929 purchased the Circus Corporation of America, which gave him control of eleven circuses. Printed pass for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows for the Season 1931, issued to William Davis & Party, 4 x 2.5, signed in ink, “John Ringling.” In very good condition, with moderate soiling and light scattered staining and handling wear.
