Roosevelt convenes a special term of the Supreme Court to inquire “any and all unlawful acts in connection with or arising out of the management affairs of the City Trust Company.”

DS, two pages, 8.5 x 13, State of New York letterhead, August 2, 1929. Governor Roosevelt appoints, “an Extraordinary Special and Trial Term of the Supreme Court…for the purpose of inquiring into any and all unlawful acts in connection with or arising out of the management affairs of the City Trust Company…and in connection with or arising out of the relation thereto of the State Banking Department…and any and all charges of unlawful acts made by the Commissioner appointed by the Governor under the provisions of the Executive Law.” Boldly signed at the conclusion in black ink by Roosevelt. Both pages are affixed to slightly larger pieces of heavy cardstock. In fine condition, with rusty paperclip impression to tops and previous storage folds.
