Lot of two items: 1) Printed 8 x 11 menu for the Banff Springs Hotel, featuring a color photo of a mounted policeman, signed in fountain pen, “Marilyn Monroe”; and 2) a similar menu, featuring a color photo of Mount Eisenhower, signed in fountain pen, “Not so little! Bob Mitchum.” The consignor notes that he personally obtained the signatures on August 21, 1953, while Monroe and Mitchum were in Canada filming the Otto Preminger–directed River of No Return. A few small corner creases, collector’s ink notations, and a touch of mild scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition. Both signatures are large and boldly penned. PSA/DNA LOA and R&R COA.
