The fix was in!

Baseball player remembered as a member of the scandalous 1919 Chicago White Sox team. Cicotte was the pitcher who threw the first pitch of the World Series, intentionally hitting the batter to signal the gamblers that the “fix” was in. Return address and signature, “Eddie V. Cicotte, 31540 7 mile, Livonia, Mich.,” on a 3.5 x 2 clipped slip. Panel bears three postage stamps at bottom. Address panel is also housed in a plastic James Spence authentication holder. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, lightly affecting signature and rough edges. LOA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
