Lot of two Hollywood Canteen postcard photos, each 5.5 x 3.5, signed on the reverse in fountain pen (and one in pencil) by seventeen actors and actresses and other notable attendees. Signers include: Clara Blandick, Charles Middleton (pencil), Bill Lundgrin, Charles Butterworth, Gene Jackson, Florence Bates, Bob Milansch, Tala Birell, Ida Mayer Cummings, Regina Wallace, Robert Bruce, Fay Holden, Harry Davenport, Frank Mayo (2), Dewey Robinson and Marjorie Golason. Blandick was a character actress best remembered for her role as Auntie Em in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz. Despondent as the result of numerous health problems, she committed suicide by suffocation in 1962. Middleton is best remembered as Emperor Ming the Merciless in the famous Flash Gordon serials.
