TLS, one page, 7.5 x 9.5, February 19, 1949. Letter written to Desmond, probably concerning the proof for his six volume History of World War II. In full, “Final of the first 108 pages now returned. I have ticked in red most of the corrections, but unless specifically contradicted by me they all go. I hope the rest will follow by Monday, anyhow you can go to press with this.” Signed at the conclusion in blue ink, “Most sincerely, Winston Churchill.” In fine condition, with intersecting mailing folds, a couple small wrinkles and some light mirroring of text and sentiment from premature folding.
