Distinguished Japanese actor (1889–1973) best known for his Oscar-nominated portrayal of a prison-camp commander in the film Bridge on the River Kwai. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo, signed in white ink, “Sincerely yours, Sessue Hayakawa.” In very good condition, with scattered silvering to background, several vertical creases affecting a small portion of last name and a small spot to bottom edge.
