The tallest documented human being of modern times, Wadlow (1918–1940), who reached a height of 8«11″, made his living as a touring novelty attraction and shoe company spokesman before dying at the age of only twenty-two. Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 photo of Wadlow standing beside his normal-sized father, signed in pencil on the reverse, “Robert Wadlow.” An inscription in an unknown hand details Wadlow’s vital statistics, including his clothing sizes.
