From onboard the Enola Gay: “I was relieved that it had given us full detonation.”

Bombardier on the Enola Gay. Lot of two identical souvenir typescripts on folded V-Mail sheets, dated August 6, 1945 (but signed later on). Typescript gives details on Ferebee’s account of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and reads, in part, “I used a Norden bomb sight…It was released elect. and I also pulled a mechanical release at the same time. I did not wear my protective glasses. I was relieved that it had given us full detonation.” In fine condition, with expected folds. R&R COA.
