In full: “I have your letter and enclosed speech [not present], and want to thank you most heartily for writing me. I shall read your speech at the very first opportunity.” After signing, Coolidge adds a handwritten postscript, which he signs with his initials: “I have looked it over but find it needs careful reading. I think it will pend sound.” In fine condition, with mild toning, usual mailing folds (one through signature), and slight rippling and tiny paperclip stain near top edge.
