Edward VII telegrams his sympathies to the Duchess of Cumberland

King of England, 1901–10; eldest son of Queen Victoria. Handwritten sympathy telegram, in pencil, signed “Albert Edward,” on a 10 x 6.5 off-white sheet of German telegraph paper to the Duchess of Cumberland. In full, “Please accept my sincerest sympathy at the sad loss you have sustained.” Matted and framed with an original 2.5 x 4.25 cabinet photo of Edward, to an overall size of 19.75 x 12.25. In fine condition, with a bisecting vertical fold, small ink notatioon to top left and light overall toning. R&R COA.
